Vince was raised in an Italian Catholic family in Brooklyn, NY, and a Baptist family in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He became a born-again believer in 1965. He is a 12-year military veteran and author of 18 technical books. He is active in church and a leader in men's ministry. He is semi-retired in Texas with his wife Jeanne. They have been married for 42 years.
