Broadly investigating the lineage of G¿j¿-Ry¿ and related histories of Karate-D¿. Including many previously unpublished photographs and data, the author dispels several often-repeated martial arts myths. In this, the 3rd edition of Volume 1 we include several additional, previously unidentified photo's of Miyagi Chojun and greatly expand on his life and his students. All Karate-D¿ is from Okinawa, having spread throughout the world. There are several styles of karate from Okinawa however the most popular practice on the Island is G¿j¿-Ry¿ Karate-d¿. His ventures have ranged from the G¿j¿ry¿.net forums, the JKF G¿j¿-Kai Networking project (defunct), and the founding of multiple martial art and bud¿ ¿¿ groups. With G¿j¿ry¿.net, the author provided legendary, open and unbiased forums to all organizations. The G¿j¿ry¿.net (All G¿j¿ry¿ Network) forums are now hosted under www.gojuryu.network a free online magazine. Johnpaul is also credited for a range of projects from the digital character model of "Street Fighter" (IMDb: 1987) to, distinctive G¿j¿-Ry¿ Karated¿ research & contributions to multiple publications and articles. Here, the author has constructed arguably the most historically accurate chronology of G¿j¿-Ry¿ Karated¿ to date. He continues to travel to Japan annually for Karated¿ research, study and training.
