Dr. Corentine Kwende Ako M.D. is a Family Medicine Physician with over twenty years experience. Dr. Ako earned her Bachelor's degree from Bloomfield College- Montclair State University in New Jersey, her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey and completed her internship and residency at the University of Miami - Jackson Memorial County Hospital, Miami, Florida.Her medical expertise encompasses hospital medicine for over 10 years, virtual urgent care, virtual primary care and primary-care medicine. She has served as an adjunct associate professor of hospital medicine at UNT - Fort Worth. Dr. Ako has been practicing telemedicine since 2016. She has treated over sixty thousand telemedicine patients with Excellence. She is an active member of the TAFP and the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is currently Chief Medical Officer at a county hospital and Medical Director at a RHC. Her Mission is educate as many patients as possible to gain disease knowledge but also to be an advocate for their own health and healthcare.Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, writing, reading and playing tennis.
