Thirteen short stories that will make you re-think change. For over thirteen years, Emily Romero sat across from people who wanted one thing: change. As a somatic trauma therapist, she spent thousands of hours holding space for breakthroughs, fears, and quiet victories. But as she closed her therapy practice, one question lingered: Why do some people change, while others can't? "100 pages packed full of depth, humanity, wit, wisdom, and inspiration. A must-read!!" This book is not another self-help guide. It's an invitation to explore the messy, beautiful, and deeply vulnerable process of transformation. Through poignant stories, lessons learned in the therapy chair, and reflections from her own journey, Emily pulls back the curtain on myths around change and offers a refreshingly honest perspective on what it truly takes to grow and experience lasting change. In this book, you'll discover:The #1 reason people go to therapy. Why therapy isn't just about talking. The hidden reasons people feel stuck. Ways to embrace all parts of yourself. How to build true confidence. Told with warmth, wisdom, and a touch of humor, Can People Really Change? isn't about giving you the answers-it's about guiding you to uncover your own. Perfect for deep thinkers, seekers, and anyone who has ever wondered... Can I still change? Are you ready to find out?
