Querine van Grinsven grew up between cultures and landscapes, born in Egypt and raised across the world, always with animals at her side. Her path has carried her through many countries and encounters - from elephants who chose to sleep beside her at breakfast, to lemurs in Madagascar who placed their tiny hands in hers, to whales surfacing as if curious about the unseen conversation. With a background in Animal Management, wildlife work, and energy healing, she has become an interpreter of the wild - someone who listens when others walk past. Her heart led her to the Giant Panda, where their presence inspired this book. To her, pandas are teachers of joy and balance, showing that wisdom can be soft, playful, and endlessly kind.Querine is also the author of Hidden Messages of Everyday Animals, and her work invites readers to rediscover their own bond with the more-than-human world. She lives with her family - human and animal - and continues to follow the quiet call of nature, offering her words and photographs as a way of saying thank you to the wild.
