Abby Ferns was born in Bombay, India, and studied English Literature in college. After completing her education, she moved to Dubai to pursue a career. Throughout her demanding corporate career, her creative outlet was writing stories, which she scribbled away in journals, hoping to publish them 'someday'. A bend in the road at the age of 40 had her reevaluate her life choices. She finally mustered up the courage to pursue her dream of becoming a writer, and 'The Elephant Who Couldn't Trumpet' is her first published children's book. She now lives in Portugal, where she is dreaming up her next story.
