The Faces of Me: From Big Feelings to Big Power, Shami's first book, was inspired by conversations with many adults who often felt stuck in negative thinking, reminding her how powerful it is to learn, early on, that you can easily shift your emotional state in just seconds.She lives in Florida with her husband, daughter, independent cat and rambunctious Labrador and hopes her writing helps young readers recognize their feelings and remember that they have the power to transform them to create personal power.
