Dr Susannah Ward is a specialist physician of rehabilitation medicine based in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. She holds degrees in medical science and medicine with honours from The University of Sydney, and in 2018 she was awarded the prize for her Fellowship training with The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Her working life incorporates clinical, research and governance roles, and she has multiple publications to her name. Dr Ward has a special interest in wellness and holistic health. She has long been an advocate for health professional wellbeing, and is passionate about promoting a more nurturing and supportive medical culture. Dr Ward lives on the beach with her husband, son, and dog. In her downtime, she enjoys studying self-mastery, writing, yoga, gentle jogs, and being in nature. She is a mindfulness meditation and yoga teacher, and runs retreats and events as the founder of Ataraxia Collective (@axcollective; www.ataraxiacollective.com.au). Mastering Real Wellness is her first published book, and she has plans to write many more.
