101 Pennies is a cinematic and sculptural photobook in which each page evokes the tension between still and moving-image photography. Each "penny" is brought to life through traditional darkroom processing, in which plates are based upon an enlarged negative, hand-processed, and sepia-toned by the artist. Several "pennies" are composited from overlays, showcasing the overlapping nature of the stories within the series.
