DEDICATION TO AND THE RESULTS OF THE PROPHETIC SUNNAH The Prophetic Sunnah is everything that is transmitted from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), be it words, actions or tacit approval of the words and actions of others. Acting in accordance with the Sunnah is just as obligatory as acting in accordance with the Qur'an, with the only difference being that one who uses the Qur'an as evidence must take into account only one point, while one who uses the Sunnah as evidence must take into account two points. As for the Koran, the one who uses it as evidence looks at the text's indication of the decree for which this text (verse/ayat) is cited as evidence. There is no doubt that people differ greatly in this regard, depending on their level of education and understanding.
