In terms of results the main means identified for the production of dental prostheses using 3D printing were Stereolithography (SLA), Digital Light Processing (DLP) and Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), and the main limitations are the cost/access to technology, the development of biocompatible materials, the aesthetic appearance, long-term color instability, and the need for initial consultation without reliable virtual aesthetic evaluation
