Autorenporträt
Working with families and their children has been my heart and soul for the last forty-nine years. In 1974, I was in my early 20s and began as a volunteer for a Head Start program while working towards my bachelor's degree in early childhood development. At this time, I also studied child development abroad in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Scotland and Sweden. During my 20 years as a teacher, I taught K-12, owned a private school, served as a board member on the Southern California Association for the Education of Young Children (SCAEYC), served as a trustee for a local school board and completed my higher education with a master's degree in Psychological Counseling and School of Psychology. After completing graduate school, I worked as a social worker and consultant for 25 years, until my recent retirement.
