Janet Shawgo had a varied career as a high-risk labor and delivery nurse, a travel nurse, and a police officer investigating homicides, spending decades in each field. Her background fueled a passion for writing mystery-thriller novels that revolve around murder. She has published six novels, winning multiple awards, and was runner-up in the Winter 2022 Fiction Contest by WOW Women on Writing.Upon retirement, she settled in Galveston Island, Texas where, with her license to carry, she enjoys shooting her weapons at the range. Janet is blessed to have an identical twin sister. They are both avid Halloween freaks and can regularly be found at Universal Halloween Horror Nights.
