Julian Berry writes: Sophia is the first of a trilogy, of which the second volume is now written, and being edited. In writing the book I have been able to draw on my early experiences as an archaeologist working on a bronze age tell in the Jordanian desert; the contrast between the bronze age and today being so extreme. The journal I kept at the time was published by the Archaeo Press under the title 'Shifting Sand' in 2017. In parallel to writing, I run a marketing technology company based in London.
