Perfect for fans of Tess Gerritsen's Rizzoli & Isles and Kathy Reichs, comes an explosive thriller about a team of two strong women and a crime that will shake you to your core. THREE SEPARATE HOMICIDES. THREE UNRELATED VICTIMS. ONE GRISLY SECRET. When the body of a famous actress is unearthed from a shallow grave, journalist Whit McKenna with the Medford Daily Chronicle investigates, unprepared for the sinister trail she must follow. Fresh from a harrowing assignment in Afghanistan with a previous post at the L.A. Times which cost her husband's life, McKenna must pull herself together for the sake of her two daughters. The trauma and heartache have only begun to heal when she is thrust into the plot of a criminal mastermind. Best friend Katie Riggs, medical examiner detective, works quid pro quo with Whit to solve the 'Dr. Frankenstein' murders before he strikes again. The town is on edge as details of the horrific autopsy reports are leaked. Who will be next? Each front page article McKenna writes brings her closer to a killer who will stop at nothing to realize his deadly ambition.
