Arthur D. Innes was born on September 15, 1863, in Shimla. He passed away in 1938 in Uplyme, United Kingdom. Innes had a partner named Helen Pittis with whom he shared a relationship starting from 1901. He was survived by his children, including Neil McLeod Innes, and his grandchildren: Catherine McLeod Innes, Fiona McLeod Innes, and Roderick Temple McLeod Innes. His parents were Lucy Jane Macpherson and James John McLeod Innes.
