This book A History of the Nikyob (Kaninkon) People from Earliest Times to 2000 is a pioneer work on the hitherto unexplored history of the group inhabiting the present day Jema'a Local Government Area in Kaduna State. It covers their socio-cultural, political, and economic realities right from the pre-colonial era through the modern day. Like in many African societies, their history was scattered, undocumented and largely within the realm of fables, legends and unverified conclusions especially about the period, place and nature of their migrations up to their present site.
