Autorenporträt
Alice Day Pratt (1872-1963) was a teacher and author who at age forty joined the last wave of government-sponsored homesteading, establishing a dryland farm in Oregon's high desert country. She was the author of four books, including Animals of a Sagebrush Ranch. Molly Gloss is the author of seven books, including The Jump-Off Creek and The Hearts of Horses.
