Charley Valera is the award-winning author of "My Father's War: Memories from Our Honored WWII Soldiers" Valera's own father was a WWII veteran like most, barely talked about the war. Years after his father deceased, much more was discover. Inspiring Valera to interview and film/write the detailed stories from other WWII veterans. Covering both theaters and all branches of World War Two. Charley Valera's film works have also won awards and featured in SW FL Military Museum and Library and on LTV Studios. Valera has appeared on NBC/NECN, WPRI and other TV outlets. Valera writes articles and blogs for various media on topics from WWII, real estate and aviation. A licensed commercial pilot, author, filmmaker, public speaker. He's a father of two boys and husband to Cheryl, they live in sunny southwest Florida. He can be reached through www.charleyvalera.com.
