Dr Omkar Prasad Baidya is currently working as Professor in JIMSH, Kolkata. He is a trained physician and completed his MBBS and MD from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal and finished post MD-PhD training from King Georges Medical University, Lucknow. He did certifications from Harvard medical school and many universities of the world. He is member of many international academies and societies. As a doctor he has sympathy for suffering humanity and want to see a peaceful world. He had received many national and international awards like Mahatma Gandhi Nobel Peace Award 2021, Dr. BR Ambedkar National Award, Rastriya Prerna Award, Bharat Bhushan Award etc.
