The New Testament is a peculiar piece of literature that requires expertise and critical study for deeper understanding. The General Epistles are a counterpart to the Pauline corpus, and they provide a balance in terms of diversity and representation of early Christian literature. The overarching aim of this discourse is to inform and deepen the reader's knowledge of the non-Pauline category of New Testament literature.
