Eleven-year-old Abel is on a mission: all he wants is for someone to love and care for him. There is just one problem: Abel is wanted for murder. "I never went to church," I told Sam. "Pappy said we ain't churchgoers." Sam nodded. "I expect if your Pappy ever walked into a church, Jesus would burn it to the ground." "I expect so," I agreed. "Mark Twain was proud of Huck Finn, but he would have been envious of Abel Dean." - Travis Grant, Director, Producer of Rogue Elements

Autorenporträt
Martin Beaulieu was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, in 1948 to French-speaking parents. At age 5 he moved to an English-speaking community and began school, understanding not one word of English. He considers learning to read without moving his lips a significant accomplishment. After spending six years in the USA, where he had been expected to save the world's Y2K problem (a feat accomplished by others), he returned to that small English village and lives there now. He has written five novels.
