Produktbeschreibung
Absinthe & Iron Cages By Walsh Wettengle Penned across the span of 1994 by a 21-year-old with a keen eye for the raw and the introspective, Absinthe & Iron Cages is a chapbook of 11 poems that journeys into the complexities of youthful turbulence and unflinching self-discovery. This collection marks the debut of Walsh Wettengle, a voice both tender and unrelenting, capturing the paradoxes of freedom and constraint, beauty and decay. With themes that echo the angst and allure of an era long past yet startlingly resonant today, these poems explore the shadowed corners of existence while seeking the light beyond. Wettengle's imagery is vivid, his rhythms magnetic, and his emotions laid bare, inviting readers to experience the push-and-pull of a mind grappling with the iron cages of its time. For those who have ever stood on the cusp of change, teetering between rebellion and resignation, Absinthe & Iron Cages offers a mirror and a map, charting a path through questions that resonate across generations. This paperback edition contains a sneak peek of the novel, Snowman, also by Walsh Wettengle.
Autorenporträt
Walsh Wettengle lives in the misty landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, where the forests and coastlines often compete for his attention. Raised on a steady diet of DC Comics, classic metal, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and 1980s horror anthologies, he's always had one foot in reality and the other in a world of imagination. When not writing, he'd rather be snoozing in a tent under the stars or listening to the waves crash against the shore with his Belgian Malinois. If an owl hoots, he will totally lose it.
