Licenciado en Urbanismo por la Universidad Estatal de Bahía (UNEB). Ha realizado investigaciones con la Fundación de Apoyo a la Investigación del Estado de Bahía (FAPESB) y otros tres proyectos de investigación vinculados al Pro-Rectorado de Extensión de la universidad (PROEX). También trabajó para una fundación especializada en planificación urbana en la ciudad de Salvador-Ba.
