Interdisciplinarity, contextualization and motivation in chemistry teaching are major challenges that teachers currently face in order to achieve good results in teaching the subject, given the physical and administrative problems encountered in public educational institutions. Although one of the methodologies for obtaining significant results in student teaching and learning is experimentation, the reality is different due to the small number of public schools with an adequate structure for building chemistry laboratories. However, with the government's digital inclusion programs, public schools are increasingly equipped with computer rooms. In view of this, the aim of this work is to provide 3rd year high school students with an experimental activity, with the help of the Yenka Chemistry virtual laboratory, on the subject of acid rain. The software proved to be an excellent tool for teaching and learning.
