Acid Taste: Excavating the Homesick's Blues is a utopian story in a wildly experimental package. Emma, Gab, Mo, and Ash are absent-mindedly riding the quotidian conveyor belt. Acid Taste: Excavating the Homesick's Blues is a utopian story in a wildly experimental package. Emma, Gab, Mo, and Ash are absent-mindedly riding the quotidian conveyor belt. Until one acid spiked Friday night, when Nora decides to take her friends down the spiral phone cord to her home village. There, the denizens are still on the line with ideals from another time. The side-tracked outsiders, holed up in other people's prolonged or protracted denim & paisley values, learn to deal with another one-track, but trainless mindset. Their presence stirs orange rings in the village pot. Under the stoned yet dilated dial of the clocktower, enigmas are drawn on the walls and the past is dug up from under flying carpets.
Autorenporträt
Émilie Galindo holds a master's degree in English-speaking cultures-really in 1960s American culture-from the university of Poitiers, France. She is a former au pair, but forever family to these wonderful people. Now, she teaches English as a foreign language in Bordeaux. On the one hand, as a devoted Dylan fan and a history buff, she tends to dip her quill in the quite diverse, if cabalistic, cultural well of that time period. On the other hand, being an avid-tv watcher, she also finds herself using the script format to highlight the poetics of a piece or even inviting tv characters to play in her writing. It's within this blend of styles that she explores trauma-mostly her personal family trauma-as well as interpersonal relations in surrealistic collages &/or scripts. You can find her on instagram @wildthingxyoumakemyheartsing and her published pieces linktr.ee/wildthingx.
