Noise and vibration controlNoise and vibration generation and propagationEffects of noise and vibrationCondition monitoring and vibration testingModelling, prediction, and simulation of noise and vibrationEnvironmental and occupational noise and vibrationNoise and vibration attenuatorsBiomechanics and bioacoustics
The book also explores analytical, numerical, and experimental techniques for addressing both linear and non-linear noise and vibration issues, with a particular focus on strongly non-linear problems. It highlights the latest trends and state-of-the-art developments in these fields.

This publication is designed for academics, researchers, professionals, and PhD students working in various domains related to the acoustics and vibration of mechanical structures.
Autorenporträt
Nicolae Herisanu is a professor at the University Politehnica Timi¿oara, Romania (UPT), with over 30 years of teaching and research experience in theoretical and applied mechanics, acoustics, and vibration. Alongside Vasile Marinca, he co-authored¿three acclaimed monographs, Nonlinear Dynamical Systems in Engineering, The Optimal Homotopy Asymptotic Method, and Optimal Auxiliary Functions Method for Nonlinear Dynamical Systems (Springer, 2011, 2015, and 2021). The second monograph earned the Romanian Academy's prestigious award in 2017. Professor Herisanu serves on the editorial boards of several reputable journals and has contributed to numerous national and international research projects.   Vasile Marinca is a corresponding member of the Romanian Academy and a senior researcher at the Centre for Fundamental Technical Research (CCTFA) under the Romanian Academy's Timi¿oara branch. He is also a senior researcher at the University Politehnica Timi¿oara, where he taught and conducted research in theoretical and applied mechanics and applied mathematics for nearly 40 years. Dr. Marinca has authored over 200 papers in esteemed journals and conference proceedings.
