The Acts of the Apostles is a history book. Written by Luke, it records the events of the apostles. It begins where the four gospels ended and records the Lord's Ascension. Early believers who trusted in the Good News of the Kingdom, were instructed to do all that Christ had commanded. With the arrival of the Holy Spirit, a miraculous growth of Kingdom Believers began. Then, persecution came. It threatened the very existence of the believers. At this point, we are introduced to Saul. On his way to Damascus in pursuit of believers, he has a divine encounter with the Risen Savior. This is a defining moment: Saul is converted and a dispensational transition begins. God makes Paul a "pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting" (1 Tim. 1:16). The remainder of Acts records this transition and the opposition to God's plans. This book precedes the remaining books of the Bible for an important reason. It explains their intent and purpose for believers today as well as those who will suffer in the Tribulation to come.
The author has over thirty-five years of experience as an insurance agent managing a multi-state independent agency selling both property and casualty as well as life insurance. During his career, he taught and explained the content and meaning of policies to his clients. Now retired, he continues to devote much of his time to teaching the Bible through rightly dividing the Word of Truth. He obtained his Bachelor of Theology, Master of Biblical Studies, and Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Evangelical Theological Seminary where he holds the position of Dean of Graduate Studies. He also holds a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling through the National Association of Christian Counselors. He wrote his dissertation on viewing the Bible from the three systems of theology, those predominantly held by evangelical churches today. Each system yielded a different interpretation. Based upon his research, he published his dissertation entitled Understanding Scripture - Using the Literary Structure of the New Testament. Now, he presents right division to benefit those who love God and want to understand the Bible both in general and the end times specifically.Dr. Greene remains committed to following Paul's example. It was Paul who said he was the least of all saints much like the author and many other Christians. However, it is never about us. It is only about Him Who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. It is God our Saviour, "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:4). His Holy Spirit works to accomplish that in each of us.Paul said that much grace was given to him so that he should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ. He goes on to say that he wished to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world, had been hidden in God. God reveals to us His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. It is my desire that you see the fellowship of the mystery where we will forever be in Christ!
