After graduating from Princeton University, W. Robert Shade III earned his ThM at Dallas Theological Seminary and then his PhD from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Later, he served as a missionary in Japan as a church planter and then seminary professor at Tokyo Christian University. The father of four daughters, he lives with his wife Micki in Lakewood, Colorado.
