Produktbeschreibung
The purpose of this book is to carry out a critical and comparative analysis of the adoption system for children with disabilities in Ecuador, in an attempt to highlight the legal, social and ethical aspects that hinder the full guarantee of the right of these children to be educated in an inclusive family environment. Based on an interdisciplinary and humanistic approach, it examines the national and international standards for the protection of children, focusing on the principle of the best interests of the child and social inclusion. The work contains a comparative analysis with successful adoption models in other cultures and contexts, thus identifying good practices that can be transferred to the Ecuadorian reality. At the same time, reform proposals are formulated, oriented firstly to decongest the adoption processes and to strengthen the preparation of the adopting family system and finally to ensure a sufficient and effective post-adoption accompaniment. This book is notonly a legal analysis, it is an invitation to reflect on the equity, dignity and value of each child.
