Majority of students (85%) in our study stated that they developed and improved high order skills. Biochemistry is foundation subject for preclinical medical curriculum. It is necessary to be taught and study effectively for diagnosis of disease during graduation and practice. Every faculty takes efforts to enhance student's self-directed learning skills, but it is many times noticed that students don't come prepared for tutorials. To overcome such issues there was need to modify the traditional tutorials. Introducing Advance planned tutorial into the existing curriculum was one of the innovative approaches to make teaching in Biochemistry more students centered.
