Shane R. Thye is Professor of Sociology at the University of South Carolina. He works in the general area of social psychology and group processes. He has published articles in the American Sociological Review, the American Journal of Sociology and Social Forces. He has been the lead editor of Advances in Group Processes for the past twenty years. Edward J. Lawler is the Martin P. Catherwood Professor of Industrial and Labor Relations and Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Cornell University. He has coauthored dozens of articles, three books and is the founding editor of Advances in Group Processes.
