In the heart of the African wilderness, love faces its fiercest test. The year is 1912 and Lance and Esther Miles have dared to defy the world. An American biracial couple, they have left behind a land where their love is outlawed, only to find that prejudice knows no borders. Now, in British East Africa, they seek a new beginning-a home where Esther, a devoted Christian evangelist, and Lance, a man of unwavering resolve, can build a future free from hatred. But the untamed land is as perilous as the society that surrounds them. Branded as "Basters" by those who refuse to accept them, they face hostility from men who would rather see them dead than thriving. And when Esther becomes pregnant, the stakes soar even higher. In the wild, the roar of lions signals danger-but the deadliest predators walk on two legs. As darkness closes in, Lance and Esther must cling to their love, their faith, and the belief that God has called them to this land for a purpose. Sequel to The Miracle of Africa, and a gripping tale of courage, devotion, and redemption in its own right, Africa Heart and Soul is a story of overcoming adversity, the power of forgiveness, and the enduring light of love in the face of overwhelming darkness.
