Mark Alexander is Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Cape Town, South Africa and Past President of RILEM, and of the Concrete Society of Southern Africa. He has co-authored Alkali-Aggregate Reaction and Structural Damage to Concrete and Durability of Concrete - Design and Construction, also published by CRC Press. Sidney Mindess is Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is an author of several books including Durability of Concrete - Design and Construction and Sustainability of Concrete also published by CRC Press. Mike Otieno is a Senior Lecturer in Reinforced Concrete Structures at the University of Hertfordshire, UK. His teaching and research cover analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures and construction materials, especially durability, and repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures.
