Der 1966 in Algier geborene Franzose wurde mit 19 Jahren Imam und 1987 zum jüngsten religiösen Leiter seines Jahrgangs ernannt. Sein Kampf gegen den religiösen Radikalismus begann sehr früh und dauert seit über 30 Jahren an. Als Doktor der Religionswissenschaften und Autor des Buches "Imam trotz mir!" wiederholt er diese Übung mit diesem Islam, der sich in seiner Haut unwohl fühlt.
