Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (27 de enero de 1832 ? 14 de enero de 1898), más conocido por su seudónimo Lewis Carroll, fue un escritor, poeta y matemático inglés. Sus obras más destacadas son Las aventuras de Alicia en el país de las maravillas (1865) y su continuación A través del espejo (1871). Destacó por su facilidad para los juegos de palabras, la lógica y la fantasía. Sus poemas Jabberwocky (1871) y The Hunting of the Snark (1876) se clasifican en el género del disparate literario.
