Some loves heal. Others consume. Yasmine Brown thought she understood the shape of pain, until Cade Washington appeared. From the very first spark, their connection is electric, dangerous, and unavoidable. They see each other in ways no one else ever could: every fear, every fracture, every dark corner of the heart. And yet, what begins as fascination quickly becomes obsession, a love that burns, suffocates, and refuses to let go. Together, they navigate a world of passion and chaos, of tenderness and destruction. They argue, they break, they rebuild, but every reconciliation carries the weight of guilt, every embrace a hint of ruin. In each other, they find solace and danger, comfort and catastrophe. As months apart offer the illusion of growth, they return, believing they can start over. But some bonds are unbreakable, some cycles inevitable and the love that saved them is also the love that could destroy them. All The Ways We Ruined Us is a haunting, tragic romance of obsession, longing, and the intoxicating pull of two hearts destined to collide, over and over, in both beauty and ruin.
Autorenporträt
Makitia Thompson is a multi-genre storyteller whose work blends poetic intensity with the raw honesty of documentary-style fiction. Whether writing haunting character studies, time-bending novels, or intimate poetry collections, she gravitates toward the places where emotion fractures and truth demands to be seen. Her stories often unravel the quiet ache beneath survival, the complicated weight of memory, and the beauty that emerges from brokenness. As the founder of Minds In Design, Thompson explores the intersections of literature, visual art, and immersive world-building. Her oil and acrylic paintings mirror the emotional pulse of her books, creating a bridge between image and narrative that deepens the impact of her work. Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, she began writing at age eleven and has spent more than a decade shaping stories that challenge, unnerve, and invite readers to confront themselves with empathy. Across poetry and fiction, Thompson's work asks one enduring question: What does it mean to reclaim your voice after the world has tried to rewrite it?
