Born in San Francisco and a lifelong resident of the Bay Area, Richard Avila spent much of his working career in the high-tech sector of Silicon Valley and later in real estate investment trusts. Today, Richard has returned to his musical studies, which he departed from in his early twenties to marry Judy, his wife, and raise a family. He is engaged in private saxophone instruction, performs with several symphonic and jazz ensembles, and serves in leadership at Convergence Church in Fremont, CA.
