A wedding gone bad. One groom is missing, the other becomes a suspicious client. Enter Russell Quant, the first and only wine-swilling, wise-cracking, world-travelling, ex-cop, ex-farm boy, gay, rookie Canadian prairie private eye. Off to France on his first big case, Quant cajoles and sleuths his way from the smudgy streets of Paris to the pastel-coloured promenade of Sanary-sur-Mer and chilly shores of Pike Lake, Saskatchewan. Dealing with a cast of colourful suspects, Quant juggles his detective gig with a personal life full of equally captivating personalities.
