Jan Rath is professor or urban sociology and associated with the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies (IMES) and the Center for urban Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Marco Martiniello is research director of the National Fund for Scientific Research (FRS-FNRS) and Director of the Center for Ethnic and Migration Studies (CEDEM) at the University of Liege, Belgium.
