This book presents a practical case study on harmonic distortion analysis in an electricity distribution company. The aim of this work is to measure the harmonic content at points of interest on a power system busbar and analyze the power quality indicators based on the criteria established by the IEEE Std. 519-2014, EN 50160 and IEC 61000-3-6 (IEC/TR, 2008-02) and PRODIST (module 8, 2017) standards. The results of the analysis obtained showed that the methodology developed in this book is applicable as the new requirements associated with power quality come into force, including harmonic distortion, which will be levied on power distribution companies, i.e. electricity distributors will have to comply with these requirements demanded by PRODIST, obeying the harmonic distortion limits, otherwise the companies will suffer penalties through heavy fines. This research was carried out during a power quality R&D project implemented at Eletrobras Distribuição Amazonas.
