Dr. Anindya Pain is working as a Principal Scientist in the Geotechnical Engineering and Geohazards Group at CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee. He pursued his M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from AcSIR Ghaziabad in the years 2012 and 2017, respectively. He was a visiting scholar at Purdue University, USA, in September-October 2022. His primary research interests include Earthquake Resistant Design of Geotechnical Structures, Probabilistic Analysis of Geotechnical Structures, Site Specific Ground Response Analysis, Rock Mechanics, Slope Stability Analysis, and Application of Machine Learning for Pattern Recognition Problems. He has supervised 4 M.Tech. and 1 Ph.D. student, with 9 more Ph.D. students currently under his supervision. He has received sponsored research projects from R&D and industry to name a few: DRDO, AAI, L&T, NCC, and IRCON. Dr. Pain is a recipient of the INAE Young Associateship in the ES I Civil Engineering category, the Young Engineer Award in Civil Engineering from the Institution of Engineers, and Best PhD Thesis from INAE. He was one of the Organizing Secretaries of IGC 2023.   Dr. Kaustav Chatterjee is working as Associate Professor in Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He pursued his M.Tech. + Ph.D. Dual Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2016 and was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Kyoto University, Japan before joining IIT Roorkee in June 2016. His research area focuses on soil dynamics, geotechnical earthquake engineering, foundation engineering, theoretical and numerical modeling in geomechanics. He has supervised 9 M.Tech. and 3 Ph.D. students with 8 more Ph.D. students currently under his supervision. He has received sponsored research project from Board of Research in Nuclear Science (BRNS), Scheme for Transformational and Advanced Research in Sciences (STARS). Dr. Chatterjee is a recipient of Associate Fellowship from INSA, Young Scientist Research Award from BRNS, Young Engineer Award in Civil Engineering from Institution of Engineers, Best PhD Thesis from IACMAG and IIT Bombay, in addition to Prof. GA Leonard Best Phd Thesis and Best Paper Awards from Indian Geotechnical Society. Prof. Ravi S. Jakka: Dr. Ravi Sankar Jakka is working as a Professor of Soil Dynamics in the Dept. of Earthquake Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and serving as Editor to ISET Journal of Earthquake Technology & the International Journal of Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering. He obtained master's and doctorate degrees from IIT Delhi in 2003 and 2007 respectively. His areas of interest are Site Characterization, Soil Liquefaction, Seismic Slope Stability of Dams, Foundations & Seismic Hazard Assessment. He has published over 150 articles in reputed international journals and conferences. He has supervised over 50 Masters Dissertations and 10 Ph.D. thesis, while he is currently guiding 9 PhD Thesis. Prof. Jakka has received several prestigious accolades, including the Prof. T.G. Sitharam Mid-career Research Award from the Indian Society of Earthquake Technology (ISET). He was instrumental in the development of Earthquake Early Warning System for northern India, a prestigious national project. He was the Organizing Secretary to the 7th International Conference on Recent Advances in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and several other short-term courses/workshops/webinars including IGC2023. He also served as secretary of ISET for two terms.
