Miriam Pittman has always loved escaping into a good book, ever since she stepped through the wardrobe with Lucy as a child. Her writing career began at the age of eight when she wrote a story about a girl who eats too many gumdrops. Her mom loved it. This was followed by stories about pioneers, kidnapped grandmothers, and aliens. Her mom loved those, too. She now lives in Tennessee with her husband, three daughters and two stray cats that refuse to leave. She enjoys chocolate, hot tea, bonfires, and any excuse to avoid laundry.
