A storyteller and screenwriter, JB DUNN has created a richly diverse library of books, feature films, limited, and full series scripts mostly inspired by true events. With many stories steeped in the rich history of Oklahoma's Red Sky Country and narrative traditions passed down through generations of his mother's Choctaw Nation family. It is through those rich experiences of the country and city, of wheat fields and streets with a rich history that JB Dunn discovers the stories needing to be told. Dunn moves his characters forward through complex relationships, tumultuous change, dramatic and humorous journeys filled with mindful change and redemptive relief. JB DUNN's work consistently lays a foundation for self-realization, acceptance, and redemptive power for all ages that awakens the conscience through provocative, entertaining, and unforgettable storytelling. I have had the pleasure of illustrating So It Is, Mouse for Johnny B. Dunn. I love his characters which inspired my work on this project. I say work but it really wasn't "work" but pure pleasure. >After Webster I pretty much stayed in the arts. I was a production artist working in Corporate Graphics for years and moved on to illustration projects such as graphic artist for a NY Theatre Review publication to even designing Santa Clauses for a company in Amsterdam. The 'Vera' in Missouri would never have dreamed that she would be an illustrator and even an author of observational pieces for performing on stage as well as children's books. (I was an actress for a number of years as well.) My illustrations were commissioned for a show in the East Village and can be seen on the page named PORTFOLIO at my website: https: //veramakesit.com/ You can also find at my website on a page called DAPHNE, a synopsis of the children's book I wrote and illustrated myself. I loved doing it. The book is titled Daphne Discovers A Drifting Dilemma. Oh, back to why I love NY. It really is a vibrant city and part of its charms are the sights and sounds of the city and no better way to see them than walking. I love walking. I love walking so much I wrote a piece entitled: "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" or as it was better known, "The Walking Piece". I walk daily from my apartment on 66th Street and York Avenue to the theatre district where I work part time in the Wardrobe Department for, in my opinion, one of the greatest Broadway shows every, CHICAGO The Musical! Thank you, Johnny B.Dunn for allowing me this opportunity and thank you all for reading Mouse and seeing [and loving, I hope] my illustrations.
