Autorenporträt

Kira Carrillo Corser MFA, has worked for 30 years to create award-winning projects to help heal discouraged and disadvantaged communities, families and individuals. She worked with PBS for 10 years, including Mr. Roger's programs for children. Kira has authored 7 books, 4 nationally traveled exhibitions and taught 8 years at California State University Monterey Bay. She painted the Healing Angels series and co-wrote the Wellness for Children Parent/Teacher Guide, co-founded CompassionateArts in Action serving communities nationwide. She has designed projects funded by The California Wellness Foundation, The James Irvine Foundation, The March of Dimes and others. Kira has produced over 150 videos showing how the power of art makes a difference in a healthy life and in designing innovative educational projects that create lasting change.
