R. Lee Fletcher is a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces and a writer of, predominantly but not exclusively, science fiction and thrillers.Lee grew up in a log cabin on a homestead in Northern British Columbia, doing his homework by the light of a gas lantern and reading space opera between doing his chores. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1976, spent 10 years in the seagoing Navy with a brief break between enlistments, then remustered to the Intelligence Branch of the Canadian Armed Forces.He does not discuss the interesting things he saw and did in the 25 years he spent in the Intelligence community, from which he retired in 2014 with Bachelor's Degree from the Royal Military College, an intact marriage and two grown sons.He is currently an indie author, publishing his work under the imprint of Spaceaxe Press.
