Ferris's Antaeotricha Moth (Antaeotricha arizonensis) is a moth of the Oecophoridae family. It is found in the mountain ranges in south-eastern Arizona and south-western New Mexico.The forewing length is 9-11 mm and the wingspan is about 21 mm. Adults are on wing from mid-June to October, suggesting more than one generation.Larvae have been reared from Quercus hypoleucoides. A moth is an insect closely related to the butterfly, both being of the order Lepidoptera. Moths form the majority of this order; there are thought to be 150,000 to 250,000 different species of moth (about ten times the number of species of butterfly), with thousands of species yet to be described.
