Adrian Dingle is a chemistry educator and author with 35 years of experience teaching in the United States and the United Kingdom. He is the creator of the award-winning chemistry website Adrian Dingle's Chemistry Pages at www.adriandingleschemistrypages.com. The focus of his teaching career has been on preparing students for standardized tests: AP and SAT subject tests in the United States; GCSEs and A levels in the United Kingdom; and the International Baccalaureate in both countries. An Englishman, he currently teaches at Canterbury School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He previously taught at The Culver Academies in Indiana, and at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta. He holds a BSc. (Hons.) in Chemistry and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Chemistry), both from the University of Exeter in England. Mr. Dingle is the author of a number of chemistry titles including The Periodic Table: Elements with Style, How to Make a Universe With 92 Ingredients, and DK's Eyewitness Periodic Table. He is the 2011 winner of the School Library Association of the UK's Information Book Award, and in 2012 was honored with the prestigious literary prize Wissenschaftsbuch des Jahre, sponsored by the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research. He also adapted Sam Kean's New York Times bestseller, The Disappearing Spoon, for young readers.
