This book, whose title is: This book, whose title is "Applied research with Pectin" is divided into 9 chapters, in the first one is developed on the chemistry of pectin and its general properties; then in chapter II two methods of pectin extraction are proposed, mainly applied to citrus residues; then in chapter III, pectin characterization, where it is explained in a summarized form about the different analyses that are made to characterize pectin (spectroscopic, aptical, structure, physicochemical, etc.), finally in chapters IV and V, pectin characterization.Finally, chapters IV to IX show applications of pectin in medicine, pharmacy, cosmetics, water treatment, and other applications.
