Thabit erwarb 2009 seinen Bakkalaureus der Naturwissenschaften in Buchhaltung an der Universität Mosul. 2013 schloss er an derselben Universität seinen Magister der Naturwissenschaften in Finanzbuchhaltung ab. Er ist Forscher und interessiert sich für den Bereich Buchhaltung. Er hat eine Reihe von Verwaltungsstudien und Fachartikeln zu Finanzfragen veröffentlicht und interessiert sich auch für Informations- und Kommunikationsfragen.
